Wine and Cheese 3
First thing I absolutely love is not just wine but cheese. Trying new cheeses and wine together is like an adventure. This is why I was so excited to do this assignment again and create another wine and cheese pairing board. I got three different kinds of wine and three different kinds of cheeses.
Wine 1:
Name: Villa Jolanda
Region: Italy
Type of Wine: Prosecco
Body: Medium
Sweet/Dry: Dry
Product Description: Villa Jolanda Prosecco is made from 100% Prosecco grapes grown in the hills north of Treviso. Grapes are hand-harvested, chilled in the vineyard, and given a low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit. The wine features lovely aromas of white flowers, orchard fruits, and a touch of mineral. Lightly sparkling with very pretty, small, bubbles, the wine is full of flavor - peach, ripe apple, lemon zest, and a nice mineral streak. Fruity and crisp, the wine finishes with a touch of mineral and yellow apple. A fantastic wine to keep on hand for everyday celebrations or to stock up on for Holiday parties.

My Review/ Review with cheeses:
The first wine I tried, was the Villa Jolanda which was the Prosecco. At first glance I absolutely loved the bottle and appearance of it which led me to buy it. Also who doesn't love a good Prosecco at a reasonable price? As I smelled the wine it smelled sweet with hints of pineapple and apples. As I tasted the wine, I definitely tasted the pineapple and apple flavors. It also tasted dry and I got second scents of floral. I also tasted some honey. First, with the brie it made the wine taste butter and I think it tasted good with the Prosecco. With the pimento, it was good and brought out the garlic and pepper in the cheese. The acidity paired well. For the Havarti Dill it tasted and buttery and was good and brought out the dill.
Wine 2:
Name: Barefoot Bubbly
Region: California
Type of Wine: Moscato
Vintage: 2018
Body: light
Sweet/Dry: Sweet
Product Description:
California - ""Barefoot Bubbly Moscato Spumante is a deliciously sweet sparkling wine perfect for your next special occasion or just a night in with friends. Wine paired with apricot and peachy flavors mix it up with a crisp acidity, finishing off with tasty tangerine.""

My Review/ Review with cheeses:
The second wine I tried, was the Barefoot Bubbly and was the Moscato. At first glance I saw that it was a Moscato and that it was Barefoot and I like the both of them. I haven't tried the bubbly though so I was intrigued to try the wine. I thought as I smelled it, that it was sweet which is what a typical moscato is. The taste was super sweet and bubbly as expected. It had a punch to it too and was spunky with the flavor. First, with the brie I thought it was a good combination. The brie is subtle and the moscato was sweet so it blended well together. Second, for the pimento, the garlic in my opinion didn't go too well with the sweet flavor of the wine but wasn't the worst pairing. Lastly, for the Havarti Dill, I didn't mind this pairing. The buttery taste of the Havarti blended pretty well with the sweet taste of the wine.
Wine 3:
Name: Stella Rosa
Region: Italy
Type of Wine: Pineapple
Vintage: 2017
Body: Light
Sweet/Dry: Sweet
Product Description: Stella Rosa® Pineapple is a sweet and refreshing blend of several white grape varietals including White Moscato .The wine has natural fruity flavors of Pineapple that will transport you to your favorite beach paradise.

My Review/ Review with cheeses:
Last but not least, the last wine I tried was the Stella Rosa Pineapple. I thought this wine was exceptional and was one of my favorites. It was super bold and sweet when I smelled it and I could smell the strong flavor of the Pineapple. As I tasted it, the wine was super sweet and I loved the flavor of the wine. Love the taste of pineapple. The first cheese I had was the Brie and it paired exceptionally well with the wine. The smooth blend with the sweet taste made it an interesting combination. Next, with the Pimento, the rich garlic flavor actually paired nicely with the sweet flavors and didn't clash at all which was surprising. Lastly with the Havarti Dill, I thought this pairing went well, because the dill flavor isn't that strong so it didn't clash or taste bitter with the sweet taste of Pineapple in the wine.
