Product Description: Our Goosefoot Road Riesling is delicate, yet full of fruit-forward flavors. Aromas of dried fruit, lemon, lavender, jasmine and rose petal segue to a crisp palate of peach, pineapple and pear flavors. Bright acidity is framed by a firm structure and a smooth, lingering finish.

Our Riesling fruit is harvested in the cool-climate vineyards of Monterey County at peak ripeness to capture the signature aromatics of this expressive variety. Stainless steel fermentation maintains its fresh vibrancy.

Page 158: Riesling

Based on the text, Riesling has a light body, is extremely sweet, low tannin, is acidic, and low alcohol content. They can be bone dry or very sweet. It is mentioned that, "Germany is the world's most important producer of Riesling."

As I first smelled the wine, I smelled hints of pear and it smelled like it was medium sweetness. It had notes of a floral scent to it as well. I smelled hints of Jasmine which is a characteristic of Riesling mentioned in the Wine Folly as well.

As I tasted the wine, I tasted citrus flavors like lemon and then I tasted the Jasmine and hints of crisp pear and peach flavors. It did have an acidic taste and then also felt fizzy when it hit my tongue. Overall I liked this wine because I like sweeter wines and this was a nice in between medium sweet wine with nice citrus and floral nodes to it. It had a light body to it as well.
